How it works

Three steps and your whole team is in.

  1. Open a room

Pick the round length (2, 3 or 5 minutes), the language and a category, then share the link or the QR code with your team.

  2. Take turns

Each person gives one letter, then the turn moves on to the next. You have 10 seconds to choose, so nobody holds up the round.

  3. Save the stick figure

Words allow 6 wrong letters and phrases 7. Solve as many as you can together before time is up.

Why it works for a work break

Everybody knows how hangman goes, so the round starts without a word of explanation. What changes here is that nobody is against anybody: the team wins or loses each puzzle together.

Turns matter more than they seem. In most group activities two or three people do all the talking; here the next letter belongs to whoever's turn it is, and the quietest person in the room ends up being the one who cracks the phrase.

It also suits remote and hybrid teams: paste the room link in your chat or show the QR code on a shared screen, and each person joins from their own device.

Ideas for your team

  • Open the weekly meeting with a 2-minute round as an icebreaker
  • Write down the team score and try to beat it next week
  • Switch the puzzle language to practice English or Spanish together
  • Pick "Office life" for a new teammate's first day
